More than 3 cases were registered in Camp Khade Bazar and Market police station for stone-pelting and damaging the vehicles in different places of the city on Friday.
27 persons were arrested on Saturday who has been sent to 14 days of Judicial custody.
Now another 5 have been arrested after seeing the CCTV footage and news channel videos.
As many as 61 have been named accused in the various cases and police are investigating the same and then making the arrests.
The 5 taken into custody will be produced in front of the magistrate today.
It may be recalled that on Friday all of a sudden protest at Dharmveer Sambhaji Maharaj circle was done against the disgrace done to the statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Bengaluru which was followed with stone-pelting and vandalism. The police had to resort to a mild lathi-charge to disperse the crowd.
