Vega Auto Accessories, one of India’s leading helmet manufacturers headquartered in Belagavi, has made a strategic investment in Pune-based emergency technology company Tageze Medical ID System, marking the company’s entry into the connected safety and digital emergency response space.

The investment represents a significant step for Vega as it expands its focus beyond accident prevention to improving post-accident emergency response for riders.

Tageze, operated by Techsocio Projects, has developed a unique medical identification system that integrates weather-resistant QR code tags directly onto helmets. In the event of a road accident, emergency responders, healthcare workers, or even bystanders can scan the QR code using any smartphone to instantly access critical medical information.

The digital profile can provide details such as emergency contacts, blood group, allergies, existing medical conditions, medications, and insurance information. The system is designed to help first responders during the crucial “golden hour” following an accident, when timely access to information can significantly impact treatment outcomes.

A key feature of the platform is that it does not require users to install a mobile application. The QR code links to a secure web-based profile that can be accessed through any smartphone browser and automatically adapts to multiple languages, making it useful for riders travelling across different regions.

According to the companies, the investment will support the expansion of Tageze’s technology infrastructure and accelerate its adoption across India and international markets where Vega products are already distributed.

The partnership also reflects a broader trend in the helmet and rider safety industry, where manufacturers are increasingly integrating digital technologies with traditional protective equipment. Both companies indicated that future research and development efforts will focus on incorporating advanced emergency response technologies and smart tracking capabilities into upcoming Vega and AXOR helmet models.

Commenting on the development, Vega said rider safety has always been central to its mission and that the collaboration with Tageze aims to create a more connected and responsive safety ecosystem for motorcyclists.

Deepak Gaikwad, Founder and CEO of Tageze Medical ID System, said the partnership would help expand the reach of life-saving emergency information technology and make riders better prepared for unforeseen situations on roads across India and global markets.
