Anish Metrani – Chairman – Vinayak Lokur- Vice Chairman of CII Belagavi district council

CII – Belagavi district council announced Mr Anish Metrani, Managing Director, Sneham International as Chairman and Mr. Vinayak Lokur, Managing Director, Expert Valve and Equipment’s Pvt. Ltd. as Vice Chairman for the year 2022-23. the outgoing chairman Mr Dilip Chandak addressed the members and shared the activities organized during 2021-22.

Ms Jyothi Pradhan, Vice-Chairperson, CII Karnataka State Council spoke of Belagavi region being an important focus area for its potential growth opportunity and urged the members to support an inclusive and diversified workforce and join hands for accelerated growth of the Industries in this region.

She appreciated the efforts of spearheading the activities carried out by the district council and announced the new leadership for the Belagavi district council. Also, she invited all the members to participate at various levels of CII engagements.

The Belagavi being the hub of Foundries, educational institutions, Ms. Jyothi urged the council members to look at engaging with academia to build a continuous collaboration of the industry-Academia in this region, which could be a benchmark for other districts and states as well.

Mr Jayant Humbarwadi, Past Chairman, Belagavi district council moderated the panel discussion on “Accelerating Industrial Growth in North Karnataka”. The panel discussion had speakers from KGK Engineering, Suresh Angadi Education Foundation, Senca Consulting and Precision KPO Solutions.

The panel shared a few perspectives, best practices and case studies that would help in developing the Belagavi as the manufacturing hub. The collaborative approach and development in this region will help to manufacture the products locally and create an increased job opportunities. Also, the panel suggested identifying critical elements and inviting research agencies to understand the strengths of Belagavi. The panel urged the members to come forward the support the young generations for future-ready skills sets towards the industry and build more partnership and engagement with Industry-Academia.

The senior industry members across the region joined this session and welcomed the new leadership.
