The NHAI has floated tenders for 4 Laning of Belagavi-Khanapur Section (Km 0.000-Km 30.800) (Design Chainage Km 0.000 to Km 30.000) of NH-4A in the State of Karnataka on Hybrid Annuity Mode(Package I).
This 4 laning has been long due and work could commence somewhere in first quarter of 2018.
The project has to be completed in 910 days.
The Belagavi – Goa/Karnataka Border section of NH-4A from Km 0.000 (which is situated near the Fish Market area of the Belagavi city) to Km 30.800 (end of Khanapur town) is an existing flexible pavement connecting Belagavi and Panji, passing through the settlements of Khanapur, Gunji and Ramnagar.
The Consultant has proposed one toll plaza at Km 19+200
The upgradation of the existing road to entirely 4 lane is affected by the restriction of available land due to both protected and non-protected forest patches along the project corridor. The available RoW (Right of Way) and the proposed sectional width have been proposed as follows:
From 0 to 15.4 KM Proposed width 60 M – Private Land
From 15.4 to 22 KM proposed width 45 M – Non-Protected forest with intermittent private land
From 22 to 27.9 KM proposed width 60 M – Private Land
From 27.9 to 30 KM proposed width 45 M – Non-Protected forest land
Good luck
