With the advent of the new commissioner at the Belgaum city corporation things are moving towards a better citizen friendly avenues.
Priyanaka Mary Francis who on day one has said that she wont swim along with the currents, and taken a few steps towards citizen empowerment. She took office on June 15, 2012 and we just managed to find that as she said a Facebook page for the city corporation has been made on June 16.
The page still does not have much likes as the same is not publicized yet.

Hope this page does not follow the fate of the Belgaum Traffic police page which has had a very god response from the citizens but the police officials have utterly failed to cope up with technology and now for over a month no one has replied to any postings.
Garbage not collected in Bahgayanagar Area since 03.05.2015.No contact numbers are available in the official site.It is really a shame on the part of Corporation without making proper arrangements for lifting garbage from Houses and Apartments.
Hope you will make arrangements without any interruption.

I REALLY LIKE & APPRECIATE THE PROGRESS GOING ON IN OUR BELGAUM CITY FROM FEW YEARS. KEEP IT UP. ALL THE BEST….
1) I ALSO REQUEST YOU TO EDUCATE PEOPLE OF BELGAUM WITH PROPER REASON. ACTUALLY YOU SAY NOT TO USE 20 M CARRY BAGS, INSTEAD USE 40 M CARRY BAGS. BUT PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW THE REASON WHY SO. IF YOU COULD GIVE ADVERTISEMENT ON LOCAL CHANNELS ABOUT SOME OF THESE MATTERS ALONG WITH REASON, THEN 50% PEOPLE WILL STOP DOING IT.
2) KINDLY IDENTIFY THE MAIN PLACES WHERE PEOPLE THROW WASTE ON ROADS AND EITHER PUT NOTICE BOARDS “DO NOT THROW WASTE HERE” OR KEEP DUST BINS THERE ITSELF.
3) VERY IMPORTANTLY, IN OUR CITY THERE ARE MANY SPEED BREAKERS WHICH ARE NOT PAINTED. I HAVE SEEN IN GOA STATE, NOT A SINGLE HUMP IS LEFT UNPAINTED. I REQUEST YOU TO KINDLY TAKE THIS MATTER SERIOUSLY AS IT IS TOO DANGEROUS FOR THE PUBLIC, PREGNANT WOMEN, OLD AGE PEOPLE, PATIENTS ETC.
4)THERE ARE MANY PLACES WHERE GUTTERS ARE NOT YET CONSTRUCTED. EG. NEAR H. P. OFFICE. R. C. NAGAR. I DON’T KNOW THE REASON.
