IMG_0153The Belgaum city corporation claims to spend crores over making new gardens and on garden development. Even now there are tenders floated for new gardens but the maintenance of the existing ones shows the manner in which the things are managed.

Have a look at the Subhash Chandra Bose Udyan at Subhash Market Hindwadi.  It never looks like a garden in the first instance. The entire garden is filled with grass, the walking track is full of grass and finding a way from the same was even difficult for us. The said Garden according to our knowledge belongs to the Hind Co-op Housing Society and Garden was renovated by the City Corporation.

The 14 solar lamps fitted worked only for one month a local resident told this blog. Now the park is being used for booze and cigarette packs, plastic glasses, chips packets were seen all around the garden.

This garden was developed about 2 years ago and within two years the situation of this garden is very detestable.
Locals from the area blame it on the local politics in the area. This comes under ward No.16.

There is tremendous scope of Belgaum becoming more green. We can start with maintaining the existing garden
