In a meeting held with NWKRTC and Satish Tendolkar, DRUCC member it was decided that NWKRTC will also have pick up points from various parts of the city as the private bus operators.
NWKRTC decided that city bus service from Railway station would be synced to the arrival timings and also more buses would be deployed on the 1st gate to 3rd gate route.
A Goa Sunday special bus package would be announced shortly, the bus would leave in the morning and arrive at Belgaum in the night which will include places of tourist importance and also beaches.
The work on the development of the bus stand is likely to commence shortly. The project will be developed on a PPP basis and a Rs.35 lakhs have been spent for the project report done by Mahindra.
50 mini buses under the NURM scheme would arrive in Belgaum by December it was told.
