On 13th Nov 2016 , KLE Society, Belagavi celebrates it’s 100 years of service to people in the region and beyond. As part of the commemorations of this momentous occasion, the schools, colleges and other institutions of KLE will be participating in ‘SHATAM’, a series of cultural and sporting events that incorporate a myriad of human skills and expression.
SHATAM which incorporates the elements of Nritya(Dance), Krida(Play), Natya(Drama) and Kala Kriti(Creativity) will see participation by thousands of students and staff members of the KLE Family.
The event formally commenced with a 3 days, 7-a-side Flood Light Football tournament which is being played at the Lingraj College grounds, Belagavi. The tournament commenced with a ceremonial kick off by renowned sports exponent Shri Ajit Siddannavar. Secretary KLE Society Dr. Bapu Desai, Life Members, Members of Staff and students participated. Todays event featured inter school matches for both students and staff.
The Grand Finale of the Centenary Celebrations commences on 13th Nov 2016, the Foundation Day of KLE Society and this week long celebration will feature performances by renowned singers, actors, dance troops and dramatists in addition to sessions by eminent educationists, lawyers, Industrialists, social activists and other luminaries across domains.
