Bharti airtel, India’s largest telecommunications company, announced the launch of its 3G service in Belgaum today.
The North Karnataka region has over 30% of airtel’s customer base having GPRS connectivity. Besides, the region has the second largest number of 3G enabled handsets in Karnataka after the city of Bangalore.
When 3G operations are underway, many customers will get to experience the differentiators that airtel brings to the table. Airtel internet on 3G gives customers the power of higher speeds to enjoy multimedia services, high-speed mobile broadband and internet access with the ability to view videos on your mobile phone, make video calls, watch live TV, access high speed internet and enjoy live streaming at never before speeds.
The consumer does not need to change the sim, the current sim only will be automatically upgraded to 3g.
45 towers in the entire city have been 3G enabled for uninterrupted 3 g experience. Users in Camp region had some network issues and it seems they too will have good signals in the days to come as a new tower is being installed near fish market.
One can experience the 3G zone at Airtel’s relationship center at Bilgi Plaza on College road.
usb dongles are also available for Internet access.
