Belgaum(now Belagavi) civil hospital was opened in 1859 at a cost of Rs.5377 average inbound patients was 25 and OPD was 125.
This serves the people of the district and also the rural people of the bordering villages of the neighboring state. Currently has specialized services in medicine, surgery, pediatrics, maternity, gynecology, ENT, skin diseases, ophthalmology, psychiatry, and dentistry.
It is attached to the Belagavi institute of Medical Sciences.

But now the condition of the hospital is worst no maintenance at all, carelessness towards patients, negligence, no good treatment, Worst hospital, I’m telling by my personal experience!
