Kingfisher Red boss Vijay Mallaya made a statement in Delhi, that he has applied for clearances for the Bangalore-Belgaum-Mumbai route and Bangalore- Mysore route.
The concessions announced by the state government would indeed be key factors for his airline to launch services for these destinations.
55-seat ATR on these routes.
Kingfisher Red, which was earlier flying to Belgaum from Bangalore, suspended its operations over a year ago citing poor demand.
This will bring some cheer to sky filers from Belgaum.

I am very happy to hear this, this made my day dear,
as I am working abroad I have to take flights to Mumbai & have to travel by bus or by train to reach Belgaum, so now I can save my time by flying Mumbai to Belgaum or if possible directly fly from here to Belgaum.
All the best guys
any update ?
Say Cheers….!!!?
great news and great relief too, Uday:) Dr. Mallya is one of the rare industrialist who actually responds to emails he receives and when I sent him an email over a year ago requesting him to resume the air service he promised he soon will!

liquor barrier style king Dr Vijay Mallya,
Finally you made owsome statement,
Thanx a ton lot,
Mumbai Belgaum route too is very important. At the moment we are at the mercy of Kolhapur/Hubli/Goa from Mumbai. Hope the Belgaum Mumbai route prospers as much as the Bangalore-Belgaum route.
It is really a good news!I specially thank shri.vijay.Mallyagi for taking up interest re-starting the service from Belgaum to Bangaluru & Mumbai.I Appeal to all Belgaumites to make use of air service to maximum extent, those who love to travel by air.Hope all the seats will be full so that shri Mallyagi shall think of starting services to other destinations if demand arises?
this should also enable more investment in Belgaum since air connectivity is key requirement of many businesses.
Gr8 news, Thanks Mr. Mallya for providing this facility and to Uday for news, hope the operation will start at the earliest.
We can save our time nw,
I was eagerly waiting for this news.
Cheers,
Sachin
Is the route from Mumbai to Belgaum is also going to commence….??? not daily but can we have once a week flight????
good for Belgaum 🙂 ….. but the funny part is that you can reach mysore faster by a car from bangalore than a plane 🙂 ….. as bengaluru international airport is almost 50 kms from city centre
Looks like things are rolling!!!!!!!!
Being an ATR Aircraft the fares will be higher than a Jet Aircraft, Any way only time will tell the rates.
This is great news. Finallyyyyyy some airline is ready to fly from Belgaum.
thats nice… Hope to use the service…
