State transport hikes bus fares

After the recent hike in prices of Diesel the NWKRTC has hiked its prices by about 7% on all its routes.

The city bus fare have also been hiked by Re.1. The city bus fares have been hiked thrice in 12 months.

Earlier the Bangalore ticket was priced at 333 now the revised price is 356.

Earlier the Mumbai ticket was priced at 492 now the revised price is 527.

But the private operators like PAI, PVG have not increased the fares as of now.
SRS has increased the fares to Baangalore by Rs.30:

  1. Shantadurga and VRL have hiked the fares. The fare for one way journey is Rs.600 now, in the Mercedes/Volvo Multi-axle bus. But still, nothing to beat KSRTC when it comes to pricing. Volvo fare is Rs.630, and its not a multi-axle too.
