Ingle Marga Kannada movie launched in Belgaum

Ingle Marga kannada movieBELGAUM: The shooting of film `Ingle Marga’ based on a novel `Devaraya’ of noted writer and journalist Sarjoo Katkar commenced here from Thursday. Bagalkot based Vaishnodevi Creations is producing the movie.

Belgaum MP Suresh Angadi clapped the first scene at Millenium garden while Prabhu Mahaswami of Charantimath at Bagalkot, Siddharamswamy of Nagnoor Rudrakshimath, Gurusiddhaswamy of Karanjimath, Madiwal Rajayogendra Swamiji of Rajguru Sansthan at Kittur performed the pooja.

Suchindra Prasad, Shivani Bhosale, Shankar Aswath and Ramesh Pandit acted family members of Devaraya Ingle were present on the occasion in the movie. Popular musical director V Manohar is the music director. The Ghanasham Bhanade the director of the movie said Katkar’s novel made him to become the director as he was very much impressed with the novel based on the life story of Kannada-Marathi rebel writer Devaraya Ingle.

The film based on the social reforms will be picturised in one phase inDesnur, Chikkodi, Pune and Chickmangalore. About 75 per cent of the actors are from North Karnataka. Suchindra Prasad who has won five national awards for his acting will play the role of devaraya Ingle. Musician Manohar has given music for four songs. Vishalraj has written the screen play and directing the movie. Adavani who was the cameraman for Mudala Mane, a popular Kannada serial will be the cameraman for the movie. Local writer Shirish Joshi is written the dialogues, Bhanage said.

Actor Suchindra Prasad who is playing Devaraya Ingle’s role said he is excited with the story based on the true facts of person lived before independence of the nation. Actress Shivani said that her role is to accompany hero Prasad. She also said that she is happy to act in the art film.

Devaraya was a social reformer who lived in Belgaum district worked for the upliftment of dalits and downtrodden. Devaraya who inspired with the teachings of Buddha, Basava and Mahatma Phule decided to work for those who were totally neglected in the society as well as for those who were not considered as the human being in the society. He dedicated his life for the service and poor.
