International film festival for children

Six cinema halls will screen the international children films everyday in the morning.

The Department of Information and Public Relations and the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy, Ajanta Belli Mandal and Film Distributors Association have made preparations for the same.

The entry will be free for children studying from Class 1 to Class 10

Films are scheduled to be screened at Swaroop, Hira, Chitra, Prakash and Santosh cinema halls from November 14 to 20 from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.:

November 14: Swaroop – ‘Taina’ (Brazil), Hira and Chitra – ‘Cindrella Moon’ (China);
November 15: Swaroop – ‘Blue Tiger’ (Czech Republic), Hira and Chitra – ‘Khob’ (India);
November 16: Swaroop – ‘Gopi Gawaiya Bagha Bajaiyya’ (India), Hira and Chitra – ‘In the name of Sherlock Holmes’ (Hungary);
November 17:Swaroop – ‘Yellow Colt’ (Mongolia), Hira and Chitra – ‘Alegalu’ (India);
November18: Santosh and Nirmal – ‘Clara and the secrets of the bears’ (Switzerland), Prakash and Chitra – ‘Kafal’ (India);
November 19: Santosh and Nirmal – ‘Inuk’ (Greenland), Prakash – ‘Children of Heaven’ (Iran); November 20: Santosh and Nirmal – ‘Journey of the Beginning of Time’ (Czech Republic), Prakash – ‘Pani Kluci’ (Czech Republic).

    Great opportunity for the kids of Belgaum to watch some masterpieces. I’ve seen Kafal and it’s fabulous. Hope the schools make arrangements.
