Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in Karnataka on May 10, and since the model code of conduct came into force on March 29, over Rs 204 crore worth of materials have been seized, including Rs 76.70 crore in cash, Rs 42.82 crore worth of liquor, and 656.97 kg of precious metals, including gold worth Rs 49.71 crore.
According to a police officer, the seizure was made following a credible input, and the car was intercepted. The unaccounted cash was found and seized, and the IT department has been informed.
