16.43 crore worth new building for KGTTI

The Karnataka Germany Technical Training Institutes (KGTTI) in Belagavi will get a new building worth 16.43 crore.

The State government has approved construction of a new building for and Mangaluru. The international agency provides vocational training courses to youths in five places in Karnataka. Around 4,000 youths are trained in various skills at these institutes.

The KGTTI is running its training courses in rented buildings in Belagavi and Mangaluru.

The Department of Skills Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood has set up five international Karnataka German Multi-purpose Development Centres in various cities to provide technical training in collaboration with the Karnataka – German Multi-purpose Development Center Society, Germany.

The KGTTI is being run in a rented building in Belagavi. Deputy Commissioner M.G. Hiremath has allotted land for a separate building.

The State cabinet has decided to ask the Public Works Department to construct the buildings. Work will be started within three months, said Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol, who is the Minister for public works.

The primary mission of the Training Center is to conduct a broad based multidisciplinary vocational training in various Industrial Technical Fields, directed towards the development of skills and trades and to become a world class training center that represents specialized trade training programs in alignment with the Industry requirements across the globe.

With its world-class vocational training centers, KGTTI has set a benchmark in skill development. The focus is to offer skill-specific training that will help students find excellent job opportunities in the global workplace and encourage entrepreneurship among the youth.
