Thanks to the online payment mode, the Belagavi city corporation has made a record of sorts by collecting 17.35 crores as property tax in the month of April. This attributes to almost 40% of the annual Property tax collected last year.
42,050 property holders have paid their tax in the month of April where they also got a 5% rebate.
The number of registered properties as per the Corporation is around 1,23,500 out of which 1,07,232 property details have been made available on line.
The Corporation had projected to collect 43 crores as property tax in the year, out of which 17.35 crores has already been achieved.
