145 candidates withdrew their nominations today which were the last day for the withdrawal of names, after these 373 candidates are in the final fray and the fierce battle would commence from tomorrow in the 56 wards (58 wards in total)
. Two wards have seen unopposed results Sarita Patil from Ward No.31 and Meena Vaz from Ward No.34 have been declared unopposed.
From tomorrow up till 5 pm of March 5 each of these candidates would try his/her best to woo the voters and become a corporator.
This time again even after most of the parties said that they would field their candidates, most of them have refrained themselves from giving the Form B, hence each one officially is an independent candidate on records.
