As the number of COVID-19 positive cases increase, so do those of people placed under home quarantine.
Local administration has filed FIR’s against 573 of them as they violated the 7/14-day home quarantine rules.
Since May 9 hundreds of stranded people have come back to the district and all were placed in IQ and then later in Home quarantine and were monitored based on their geo-location.
The administration has identified such violators and will put them in IQ and then file an FIR against them for the violation.
The taluka wise number of violators is as follows –
Belagavi City-76, Belagavi Taluka-103, Hukkeri-55, Khanapur-54, Bailhongal-28, Saundatti-15, Ramdurg-11, Gokak-45, Mudalgi-13, Athani-37, Kagwad-16, Chikodi-30, Nippani-48, Raibag-24 and Kittur-18.
