The Belagavi Smart city Limited has so far spent a whopping Rs 761.21 crore on 103 works said MD Dr.Praveen Bagewadi in a release.
The smart city project was commenced in 2016 with a total grant of Rs. 930 earmarked for the project under the Smart cities mission.
854 crore have been released so far out of which 761.21 core have been spent on 103 projects.
A total of 67 works have been completed worth Rs. 545.38 crores while 36 works are in progress.
Development of a Physiotherapy Center for disabled children at Mahatma Phule Garden, Ravindra Kaushik e-Library, Kid Zone, development of 11 concept-based parks, Kanabargi Lake Rejuvenation, Integrated Command and Control Centre, development of hospitals and smart roads etc. have been developed under the Smart City project.
6 different works have been taken up worth Rs.211.06 crore under Public Private Partnership are in progress.
Belagavi Smart City has topped the Smart Solutions Challenge 2022, a comprehensive urban competition organized by the United Nations and the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA).
Belagavi Smart City has won 3 awards in various categories in the Smart Urban Nation 2022 competition held in Mumbai.
