A roaring start to Spicejet’s Leh-Delhi-Belagavi-Delhi sector

M/s. Spicejet started its new route to Delhi sector from Belagavi Airport in the Leh-Delhi-Belagavi-Delhi sector on 13/08/2021.

A small event was organized by M/s. Spicejet in close coordination with Belagavi Airport, AAI to commemorate its inauguration of operations from Belagavi Airport.

The Spicejet flight (SG 205/206) will operate twice a week i.e. Monday and Friday from Belagavi Airport. Arrive from Delhi to Belagavi at 4.45 PM and departure to Delhi from Belagavi at 5.05 PM.

Total outgoing passenger from Belagavi Airport is 147+2 and incoming passenger from Delhi is 131+4 out of 148 seaters B737-700 Aircraft.

All expressed their thanks to M/s. Spicejet Airline for Delhi route operation. Further, the boarding pass was handed over to the first passenger.

Cultural program and dance presented by the student of Vision Fly Aviation, Belagavi to celebrate the start of Delhi sector.

All the Departure & Arrival passengers are welcomed by Aptech Aviation Hospitality, Belagavi by sprinkling the flower petals on the passengers in traditional dress.

Smt. Mangal Suresh Angadi, MP (LS) and Sh. Iranna Kadadi: MP (Rajya Sabha) thanked Belagavi Airport: Airports Authority of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) and M/s. Spicejet. Sh. Rajesh Kumar Maurya, Airport Director, Belagavi Airport, offered his gratitude to Sh. Suresh Angadi, Ex-MoS Railway, MP (LS), Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Ex-MP (RS) and all Hon’ble MPs, MLAs, MLCs, District Administration & Police Administration, all citizens, Chamber of Commerce, Professional forum, Universities/Technical Institutes, Commercial/Business/Industrial Institutes of Belagavi city.

He added that total 22 operations (arrival & departure) on an average per day from Belagavi Airport and connected with 13 different cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Kadapa, Tirupati, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Nasik, Hyderabad, Indore, Surat & Jodhpur.

Secondly a snack bar was inaugurated in Security Hold Area (SHA), ribbon cutting & inaugurated by Hon’ble Smt. Mangal Suresh Angadi, MP (LS) in the auspicious presence of Sh. Anil Benke: MLA, Sh. Ramesh Jarakiholi: MLA, Sh. Sanjay Kaka Patil, MP (LS)-Sangli, Sh. Rajesh Kumar Maurya, Airport Director: Belagavi Airport all welcomed by the Managing partners of M/s. VIP Services. This facility is most required in the SHA.

Third inauguration of Cargo movement through Terminal Building, ribbon cutting by Hon’ble Smt. Mangal Suresh Angadi, MP (LS) in the presence of Airport Director: Belagavi Airport, Sh. Gokul, AM (Cargo)- AAICLAS, all AAI officials, CASO-KSISF and executives of Airlines. MP (LS) madam thanked to BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security), AAICLAS, Belagavi Airport: Airports Authority of India for early approvals & commissioning of Domestic Cargo through Terminal Building. Airport Director added that this cargo facility will boost the cargo movement to different cities from Belagavi and it will be more beneficial to the Textile Industry, Foundry, Milk Industry etc.
