Additional 5 crore grant for development of Rajahans gad Fort: CM Bommai

It is an honor to install the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a remarkable leader of the country who valiantly fought to protect Hinduism. Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai declared that an additional grant of Rs 5 crore will be released for the comprehensive development of Rajahansagad fort, Belagavi.

He made this announcement while unveiling the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Rajahans gad Fort premises work done by District Administration, Kannada and Culture Department, and KRIDL, Tourism Department.

He stated that this grant will be used to further the development of Rajahans gad fort by constructing a community hall, rest house, and other essential amenities, transforming it into a popular tourist destination.

In 2008, Karnataka Chief Minister Yeddyurappa sanctioned Rs 14 crore for the development of Rajhuns Gad Fort. Janardana Reddy, the Minister of Tourism Department at the time, was instrumental in releasing a grant to provide infrastructure in the fort premises. Furthermore, CM Bommai announced that an additional grant of 5 crores would be released to further the development of the fort.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was a legendary leader who fought tirelessly for the protection of Dharma and the Hindus. He was a man of great learning and skill, having been inspired, blessed, and guided by his mother Jijabai. He was a selfless warrior who fought for the preservation of Hinduism and the kingdom, never seeking personal gain, the CM added.

Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai noted that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj fought many battles, defended the country with his prowess, and constructed numerous forts. His legacy lives on as a symbol of courage and strength.
