Additional Registrar of Co-operative society’s Karnataka today visited the branch of the Lokmanya co-operative credit society as per the letter was given to it by Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Speaking to the media the media Additional registrar Shivaprakash said that he was here to check the various documents as per the letter of the ED to it.
He said that the ED had received complaints against this society from 60 persons which include also local MLA Abhay Patil.
The inspection was conducted as per Section 108 in The Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002 – 108. Inspection of books of account, etc., of a multi-State co-operative society.
A detailed report would be sent to the Enforcement directorate.
Lokmanya Cooperative Credit Society Ltd is a multi-State co-operative society 217 branches across 4 states which was established in 1995 by Kiran Thakur.
