IMG_3082The public information officer of the MLIRC has issued the following press release in which it says-

This is with reference to news articles published in some leading dailies of Belgaum on 25 Nov 13. The articles have reported that inputs were received from Army sources about “Centre sending an alert about possible attack on Suvarna Vidhana Soudha during the winter session”.

The Army categorically rebuts any such input ever having been released from Army sources. The Army has in the recent past received inputs regarding possible terror strikes, which has been duly shared with other intelligence agencies and the Police. There was no specific reference to any particular place, date or location.

The Army, on its part, has initiated certain measures in Cantonment areas which includes putting up of “Restricted Area” notices, as a part of stepping up of security measures to prevent any untoward incident.
