Belagavi Government Tooling and Training Center (GTTC) in North Karnataka has recently introduced a groundbreaking new course – the Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This marks a significant milestone for the region, as this course has never been offered before.
Principal BG Mogera shared with ETV Bharat that the admission process for various diploma courses, including the Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, has commenced for the academic year 2024-25. The decision to introduce this course was driven by the growing demand for technical education in the area. Before its launch, consultations were held with engineering colleges and industries to ensure its relevance and effectiveness. The course is equipped with state-of-the-art lab facilities and has received recognition from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning course focuses on Python programming, software development, and robotics. It aims to provide students with valuable skills and job opportunities.
Ramakanthamath, the Head of Department at GTTC, highlighted that in addition to the new course, the center offers diplomas in Tool and Die Making, Precision Manufacturing, and Automation and Robotics for students who have completed their SSC or equivalent exams. The Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a four-year program, with the option for PU science graduates to enter directly into the second year through lateral entry. Short-term and skill development courses have also been introduced to cater to a wider range of learners.
GTTC has branches in Belagavi, Chikkodi, and Gokak, all committed to providing high-quality education and training opportunities to students in the region.
