Commissioner of Police Dr. M.B. Boralingaiah has suspended a Head Constable and Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police for accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from Gambling Bookie.
The Commissioner of Police has ordered the suspension of ASI Hattikatti of Khade Bazar police station and Shankar Patil, head constable of ACP Crime Division.
They have been accused of collaborating with the Gambling business.
According to police sources, the suspended ASI and the head constable took a bribe of Rs one lakh from a bookie in the city on Monday.
