Upto 3 pm 46% of the electorates made use of their franchise in Belgaum district, sources said. The polling is steady and is expected to grow in the last hours, with an extra hour of voting provided experts says 60-65% average polling is expected in Belgaum district.

In 2008 Belgaum North had seen 61.71%, Belgaum South had seen 63.65% and Belgaum Rural had seen 71.10% polling.
There were again complaints of names missing but the numbers were less than in what they were during the Local body elections.
