An attention diversion gang snatched away Rs 1.8 lakhs worth cash / jewelry from in three incidents and all the targets were elderly persons.
The gang targeted senior citizens at Vaccine Depot, Dharmveer Sambahji circle and Ganeshpur and looted ornaments and cash worth 1.8 lakhs.
The modus operandi in all three cases involved three men approaching the elderly masquerading as police men and duping the elderly in about 20 minutes.
In one incident while a person was walking near Vaccine depot the two men gang approached him as police men, and told there was a robbery and asked the person to remove all the ornaments in a hand kerchief and even offered theirs and asked him to keep it in his pocket. But within seconds the duo changed the handkerchief and fled away,
