This has happened earlier as well and again on Tuesday the Auto drivers have beaten bus driver and two conductors.
The incident took place around 12.30 when a bus was trying to come out of the bus stand two autos suddenly came in the front of the bus. The driver was annoyed and asked why he did so and the spat got violent where in other auto drivers joined in and thrashed the driver and conductor of the said and also another conductor who had come to the rescue of their colleagues.
About 8 months ago as well similar incident had happened but the goondaism of the auto drivers is not stopping which is a cause of worry.
If you see the CBT area the entrance is blocked by many autos, the police is also a mute spectator as always and never acts to stop this menace.
It has to stop soon. Belgaum has become worst than bangalore in case of autos. When Ola cabs started in belgaum even they hit the Ola driver. In case of bus stand autos they charge as if we are going in multi axel volvo autos for a short distance. Still no autos are running on meter when it is said meters are mandatory and govt started to check whether meter is there or not only for few weeks and later no Checking of auto meters
Auto stop to be moved at least 200mtr from bus stand.ola & Uber service to be empowered.
