SP reiterates that Autos have to collect fare by meter. There is no going back on this. I had called this meeting to sort of issues faced by the Auto drivers for repairs etc which will be heeded to. But autos must be collect fare as per meter and fare fixed.
Today a meeting was called by the SP Chandragupta at the SP office regarding the same auto fares.
SP Chandragupta categorically said that permit was issued to an auto only after the meter is fixed and found working, even then time was given for old meters to be repaired. We have to go by the law and fare chart was distributed to the auto drivers.
After the meeting with the SP was over, sources said that the auto drivers threatened the technicians who have come here to repair the meters.
