Activists belonging to Sri Ram Sena protested against the screening of the controversial Kannada movie ‘Silk Sakkath Hot’ featuring Pakistani actress Veena Malik at Santosh theatre in Ganpat galli.
The police had to resort to mild caning to disperse the gathering near the hall. Some shops nearby downed their shutters seeing all this but police averted any further tension. Police also took 6 activists into custody.
The activists were demanding that the film be boycotted as Veena Mailk is a Pakitani actress.
