More than 5000 autorickshaws in Belgaum are set to go off the roads for 24 hours from January 8 , with their drivers and owners demanding that the state government reduce the tax on auto LPG. Repeated hikes in fuel prices have endangered livelihoods of auto drivers they say.

The auto drivers were seen telling the parents that they are on strike tomorrow hence they should manage to leave the children to the school on their own.
