Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar said that 30,000 persons would be vaccinated daily and this would help in the fight against COVID-19.
He has asked the eligible people to come forward and take the jab.
On April 7, a total of 26,657 people, including the first and second dose, were vaccinated in the District.
Of the 26,657 vaccines, 26,067 were the first dose of the vaccine given on April 7.
A total of 3,07,867 jabs of vaccine have been reported in the district so far.
This includes those over the age of 60, comorbidities over 45, health workers and front line workers, including police, revenue etc.
Since the district is located in the state borders, much attention has been paid to vaccination. More and more people are working with the Department of Health, the Zilla Panchayat and the Department of Health for the purpose of vaccination.
With the cooperation of the people, the district has been able to perform well in the vaccination campaign.
There was no side effect of the covid vaccine. District officials have therefore appealed to the public to get everyone involved in the fight against Kovid by getting the vaccine.
CoviShield and COVAXIN vaccine are being issued in the district according to the government’s time-to-time guidelines.
