Belagavi has achieved the 198th position in the Swachh Survekshan 2023, compared to its 171st rank last year. The Belagavi City Corporation (Belagavi (M CORP. + OG)) has unfortunately not shown any improvement in its ranking this year. Currently, it holds the 198th position out of the 446 cities in the population category of over 1 lakh, while securing the 7th rank within the state.

In the Swachh Bharat Survekshan of 2023, which was evaluated on a scale of 9500 marks, Belagavi (M.Corp+OG) managed to score 4830 marks. However, in comparison to last year, the city has slipped 27 places from its previous rank of 171 in 2022.

On a positive note, Belagavi Cantonment has made significant progress in the Swachh Survekshan-2023 rankings. Among 62 cities, it has climbed to the 36th position, a notable improvement from its 44th rank in 2022. Moreover, it proudly holds the top spot within the state.

Overall, while Belagavi has maintained its position in the Swachh Survekshan rankings, there is room for improvement to enhance the city’s cleanliness and sanitation standards.
