Deputy commissioner and administrator of Belagavi city corporation MG Hiremath today approved the budget for the year 2022-23.
The budget presented shows a surplus budget of Rs.6.31 lakhs (Receipts are more than expenditure)

550 lakhs for maintenance of gutters, roads etc
500 lakhs for immediate/ urgent infrastructure repairs
509 lakhs earmarked for welfare of scheduled caste / scheduled tribe
169.37 lakhs for improvement of backward classes
116.81 lakhs for the upliftment of Physically challenged
200 lakhs for the infra development in Udyambag area
500 lakhs under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) for vending zones for roadside vendors
200 lakhs for waste segregation dust bins for house holds
100 lakhs for development of parks
100 lakhs for Pink toilets for women
50 for Women under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM)
100 lakhs for installation of various idols on streets
60 lakhs for control street dog menace
50 lakhs for development of infrastructure at DC office
30 lakhs for welfare of Journalists
50 lakhs for dung cakes for use at funerals
50 lakhs for disease control
13.61 lakhs for development of sports
50 lakhs for the maintenance of swimming pools, Badminton Hall, gyms
10 lakhs for Plastic free drive
