Rajya Sabha MP Iranna Kadadi has announced that the Union Urban Development Ministry has sanctioned ₹836.45 crore under the Amrit 2.0 scheme for 32 urban areas in the Belagavi division of the Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Board. The funding will be distributed in a 50:40:10 ratio—50% from the central government, 40% from the state government, and 10% from public contributions.
Additionally, ₹165 crore has been allocated to ensure a continuous water supply for the twin towns of Mudalagi, Naganur, Kalloli, Arabhavi, and Ghataprabha. Several projects are already underway, with the rest expected to commence soon.

The sanctioned funds have been earmarked for multiple towns, including:
- Machhe, Peeranawadi – ₹85 crore
- Harugeri and Mugalakhod – ₹51.94 crore
- Kittur – ₹25.21 crore
- M.K. Hubli – ₹18.09 crore
- Hukkeri – ₹9.63 crore
- Chinchali – ₹23.90 crore
- Raibag – ₹22.83 crore
- Khanapura – ₹20.52 crore
- Ainapur – ₹14.13 crore
- Eksamba – ₹16.36 crore
- Athani – ₹47.67 crore
- Kankanwadi – ₹14.83 crore
- Kudachi – ₹18.62 crore
- Sankeshwar – ₹11.74 crore
- Munavalli – ₹39.11 crore
- Ankalagi-Akkatangerahala – ₹42.26 crore
- Borgaon – ₹19.98 crore
- Ghataprabha, Kalloli, Naganur, Mudalagi – ₹165.44 crore (for continuous water supply)
- Kagawada, Shebal, Ugara Khurda – ₹66.74 crore
- Kalkura – ₹22.25 crore
- Ramadurga – ₹19.56 crore
- Yaragati – ₹29.14 crore
- Konnur – ₹19.67 crore
- Nippani – ₹32.83 crore
Work has already begun in several locations, ensuring improved urban infrastructure and water supply in these areas. MP Iranna Kadadi credited Union Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Karnataka State Urban Development Minister Bhairati Suresh for their efforts in securing and implementing these funds.
