PYAAS Foundation in association with Vijay Karnataka , department of forest Belagavi, city corporation of Belagavi, Sakal took up a plantation drive “One day for Belagavi” on the ninth of July 2017 .
The campaign included plantation of over fifteen thousand trees in the following areas.
1) Over 40 corporation open spaces
2) All road medians in the city and
3) All public gardens
Citizens were planting trees on as many as 150 plus locations.
The drive was an excellent opportunity for people to contribute to the greenery of Belagavi. The open spaces have been taken up by over hundred organizations all over Belagavi.
The medians were planted by PYAAS Foundation with the help of KLE.
In established parks one can take up one plant, adopt it and look after it, you can label it as your family tree.
The organization which plants the tree will take care of the plant for Atleast two years.
Let’s make Belagavi green and beautiful. It’s time to spend one day for Belagavi.
Over a hundred residential, Colleges, schools and NGO’s participated in the said drive.
