Surendra Prakash Station Manager of Belagavi railway station immediate action on information shared by the Gateman has averted an accident on June 1 when it was raining heavily with heavy winds a tree had fallen on the tracks and it was the time Hari Priya Express was about to pass through putting lives of several passengers at risk.
Surendra Prakash who was on duty on June 1st while ensuring whether LC gate no 382 was closed for traffic or not, came to know that a big tree had fallen between 2nd and 3rd gate.
Acting promptly on the information given by the gateman Surendra called LP and guard of Hari priya express for which LC was already given and informed that tree has fallen and alerted him to take necessary action to stop the train before the spot and also put back the reception signals which were taken in favour of Hari Priya Express.
The SWR has sought that the Station manager be suitably appreciated and awarded for his swift action.
Good Job Should be given pat on back
Well done Sir, Thanks for your sincere effort.
Glad to know the passengers are in safe hands. Good work uncle.
Great job, Sir! Very timely action.
Just my opinion: AAB, you should have also named the Gateman (to give him/her the credit due) who notified the authority timely.
Good job Sir. Should be rewarded both, Gateman & Station Manager
I’m living abroad nice to see update about my birth place Belgavi…
