Specially abled Swimmer of Swimmers Club Belgaum and Aquarius Swim Club Belgaum has selected in the Indian contingent to represent India for the 2018 World Para Swimming World Series to be held at Berlin, Germany between 7th to 10th June 2018.
Shridhar will participate in 100 Free Style, 100 Butterfly, 100 Back Stroke, 100 Breast Stroke and 200 Individual Medley events.
A team of 21 swimmers have flown to Berlin, Germany on 3rd of June from Chennai. Master Shridhar has represented India earlier and has won 1 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals for our Nation.
He is a member of Swimmers Club Belgaum, Aquarius Swim Club Belgaum and Association of Physically Handicapped and he is practicing at Suvarna JNMC swimming Pool and Rotary Corporation Sports Academy’s Swimming Pool under the watchful eyes of Swimming Coaches Umesh Kalghatgi, Prasad Tendolkar and Akshay Sheregar. He is now targeting the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and is practicing hard to qualify for the same.
He is a sincere and dedicated swimmer and getting sports scholarship from Go Sports Foundation and Polyhydron Foundation, Belgaum. he is highly supported by Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Rtn. Avinash Potdar, Ms Maneck Kapadia, Mrs. Lata Kittur, Mr. Sudhir Kusane, Ms Shakutai Paranjpe.
