Belagavi ranked 10th for Implementation of central government schemes

Belagavi district has earned the tenth rank in the country for effectively implementing the schemes of the central government.

The Azadi Se Antyodaya Tak (ASAT) campaign was launched by the central government on April 12, 2022, and ended on August 15, 2022. A total of 75 districts of 27 states and union territories of the country participated in this campaign.

In this campaign, by effectively implementing 17 projects of 9 selected departments of the central government, the Belagavi district recorded an achievement of 84-85% by providing excellent services to the citizens and beneficiaries.

Recognizing this unique achievement of the Belagavi district, the Central Government invited Belagavi District Collector Nitesh Patil, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Darshan H.V. to receive the honor and award.

The felicitation ceremony will be held on September 26 at the Habitat Center in New Delhi.

DC Nitesh Patil and District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Darshan H.V. will attend the ceremony.

This rank is given considering the progress of 17 projects in 9 departments including health, rural development, women and child development, and labor department.

The goal of the campaign is to take up 17 select schemes with direct assistance to beneficiaries in saturation mode, reaching out to the person at the bottom of the pyramid in rural areas by each of the participating ministries/departments.
