The Belagavi police led by DCP Ravindra Gadadi raided Offices and homes of members of the Popular Front of India(PFI) in Belagavi today morning.
The raids commenced at 4 am on Tuesday morning and as per sources 5 persons have been detained for further investigation.
Local PFI leader is being questioned under Khade Bazar police limits.
Four days ago PFI activists had blocked the highway for half an hour near Kakati Belagavi to protest against the ED raid on the house of PFI leaders in the state. there was a heated argument between the police and PFI workers.
These raids are a followup of the nationwide raids by NIA against PFI.
Today also the raid in Belagavi is part of the same NIA followup.
