Belagavi is set to witness the development of a new software park focused on the Med-tech sector, as announced by Karnataka’s Minister for Large and Medium Industries, MB Patil, during the “Innoverge” event hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The minister highlighted that officials have been tasked with locating suitable land for this upcoming tech hub in Belagavi, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering innovation in the region.
In addition, the state government is working on securing a Rs 5,000 crore loan to enhance industrial infrastructure across Karnataka. This investment will be directed toward the development of new industrial zones and improving existing ones, including addressing the lack of dedicated water supply in many areas.
The government is currently in talks with the finance department to ensure that these challenges are met, with Belagavi standing to benefit from these infrastructure advancements.
