The Belagavi Sub-Registrar Office has been relocated to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office premises, with operations commencing at the new location on Monday, October 19. The relocation clears the existing site for the construction of a proposed five-storey administrative building that will accommodate multiple government offices.
All essential records, computer systems and equipment have been shifted to the new premises. Facilities such as electricity, internet connectivity and computer infrastructure have been arranged to ensure uninterrupted registration services. Special arrangements have also been made for the safe storage of old registration records.
Citizens visiting the Sub-Registrar Office for property registration, including the sale and purchase of properties, can access registration-related services at the new location. The administration has made the necessary arrangements to ensure that the relocation does not disrupt day-to-day operations or inconvenience the public.

Five-storey administrative complex planned
The existing Sub-Registrar Office building will be demolished to make way for the proposed five-storey administrative complex. The plan is to bring various government offices under one roof, making it easier for citizens to access multiple government services at a single location.
With the relocation completed, the immediate priority is to ensure the smooth functioning of registration services at the new premises while preparations are made for the redevelopment of the old office site.
The proposed administrative building is expected to consolidate government offices and improve public access to administrative services in Belagavi.
