After bandh and some tension in Angol the situation in Belgaum is currently calm and peaceful. No untoward incident was reported on Wednesday.
The police have arrested 50 people with regards to stone pelting and destructing public property. Anti social elements have been spreading rumors and SP Dr.Chandragupta has requested the citizens to maintain peace and harmony and also requested not to heed any rumors. If they come to know about any such incident they should immediately report to the nearest police station.
