Pooja A. Nagalikar is Bharatanatyam performer from Belgaum and she will perform at the Bharatanatyam and folk festival — Nupura Ninadam — at Lokmanya Ranga Mandir on Konwal galli in on June 7 at 5 p.m.
The event is being organised Pushkala Nrityalaya on the occasion of the organisation’s fifth anniversary and annual gathering.
Dr. Nagalikar, 28, began her Bharatanatyam training at the age of six under the guidance of Guru Sandhya Hosamani and is an Ayurvedic doctor.
Dr. Nagalikar has given stage performances in different parts of the country, participated in the International Folk Dance Festival organised by UNESCO at Switzerland and France, and in the Karnataka Vaibhava programme organised by Dance and Drama Academy, New Delhi. She completed her “alankar” (post-graduation) from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai, she also has her own dance school ‘Pushkala Nrityalaya’ at Kore galli in Shahpur in the city.
