Mr. Sharath Kumar Bache Gowda, Honorable MLA (Hoskote) and Chairman of KEONICS, met with Belagavi Technology Companies Association (BeTCA) members in Bengaluru. This meeting was a follow-up to his recent visit to tech companies in Belagavi and focused on the need to develop robust infrastructure to support existing technology firms while attracting new investments to the region.
During the discussion, Mr. Gowda expressed strong support for the initiatives led by BeTCA. Recognizing the critical need to bolster the region’s technology ecosystem, he committed to exploring the demands raised by BeTCA favorably. In a promising move for the local industry, he pledged to initiate the creation of a plug-and-play center as a starting point. This facility is envisioned as a launchpad to not only support current operations but also to serve as the nucleus for future expansion plans, including the development of an IT park. The BeTCA team and Mr. Gowda discussed several options for initiating the development of infrastructure towards enabling an IT ecosystem in Belagavi. This ecosystem is robust and is in desperate need of plug-and-play facilities for small companies and dedicated spaces for mid to large organizations that have been in Belagavi for over a decade and aspire to grow larger with Belagavi as their base.

The meeting underscored the mutual interest of industry stakeholders and government representatives in catalyzing economic growth through enhanced infrastructure. Stakeholders expressed optimism that the proposed plug-and-play center would provide a much-needed boost to the region, making it an attractive destination for further tech investments.
The collaborative partnership between BeTCA and government officials represents a significant milestone in the transformation of Belagavi into a technological hub. This endeavor has the potential to generate novel opportunities for innovation, employment creation, and long-term economic prosperity within the region.
Good Luck!!!
