Bharatesh honors 70 Covid warriors on Founder’s Day

The 58th Founder’s Day of Bharatesh Education Trust (BET) was celebrated at its campus on 5th January 2021. It marks the birth anniversary of its founder, Late Shri Komalanna Doddanavar. This year, the Trust decided to make it a low key event and felicitated the Covid warriors who had served at the Covid Center set up at Bharatesh Campus, Halaga. This covid center was establish with the cooperation of Bharatesh Education Trust, Shree Ortho and Trauma Center, Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) Belagavi Chapter and Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana (Belagavi Chapter).

Dr. Mahaveer Danigond, Founder, Sidramappa Danigond Memorial Trust, Terdal was the chief guest and Dr. N.A. Magadum, Chairman, Dr. N.A. Magadum Ayurvedic medical College, Ankali, was the guest of honor for the function. Shri Shripal Khemlapure, Treasurer of BET welcomed the gathering. Vinod Doddanavar, Member, Managing Committee (M.C.) of BET presented a report of all the major activities and progress of the Trust as also the several challenges and innovations during the Covid times. He also acknowledged the staff and heads of institutions who stood up to face the challenge and emerged successful. Several staff members of Bharatesh who have retired in the past one year and also those who have completed continuous 25 years of service in the Trust were felicitated at this event.

A total of 70 covid warriors from Bharatesh Education Trust and Shree Ortho and Trauma Center (SOTC), as also several doctors from Belagavi city, including Dr. Ramesh Doddanavar of Deccan Medical Center, Dr. Devagouda Imagoudanavar of SOTC, Dr. S. K. Patil of Yash Hospital, Dr. Upendra Yalgudri of Dakshata Hospital, Dr. Ramesh Tejannavar of Tejannavar Hospital, Dr. Gomatesh Kusanale, Dr. Abhinandan Hanji and Dr. Chaitanya Khemlapure of Venugram Hospital, Dr. Padmaraj Patil (Chikodi) and Dr. Savita Kaddu of Matrutva Maternity and Nursing Home, Belagavi were among the several doctors, nursing staff and admin staff felicitated at the event.

BET also unveiled its innovative ERP software for Management Information System at this function at the hands of the chief guest. Mrs. Devayani Desai, Principal, Bharatesh Central School-Halaga (CBSE School) presented her report on the benefits of the software during the past few months. Speaking as the Guest of Honor, Dr. Danigond lauded the efforts of BET and its members and extended a hand for cooperation in the near future. Chief Guest Dr. Mahaveer Danigond was introduced by Bhushan Mirji, member of the M.C. of BET commented that the extent to which Bharatesh has grown in the past 58 years is commendable. He also recalled his close association with Late Shri Komalanna Doddanavar.

Dr. Srikant Konkani, Principal of Bharatesh Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital introduced the chief guest. In his presidential remarks, Rajeev Doddanavar, Secretary, BET acknowledged the efforts put in by the entire Bharatesh Family during challenging times. He also reiterated BET’s commitment towards service to the society at all times.

The event was hosted by Dr. Jyoti Kamat , Dr. Kavita Bugade and Swatee Jog. Mrs. Yogita Patil, Principal, Bharatesh English Medium School proposed the vote of thanks. All the members of the Managing Committee of BET, well wishers and the entire staff of BET were present for this function.
