CAG find lapses in the usage of 100 crore special grant by Belgaum corporation

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) in a report tabled in the assembly raises questions in the manner in which the special 100 crore funds were utilised by the 7 corporations in the state.

With regards to Belgaum the report states:

Belgaum City Corporation (BCC) made irregular payment on inert waste as tipping fees

Non-collection of solid waste management cess by BCC resulted in loss of Rs 7.17 crore.
