The Belagavi city police have arrested 4 conmen from Dharwad who robbed a car buyer on OLX for 3 lakhs.
The gang of Basavaraj alias Puneet Virupakshappa Gokavi, Manjunath Siddappa Dodamani, Basavaraj Irappa Belavadi and Madiwalappa Pundalik Garagad, all from Tegur village in Dharwad taluk called Mahammad Shahabaz of Bengaluru, to Belagavi, to check out a car they had posted on OLX website.
On December 1, they took him to a farmhouse near Jamboti and robbed him of Rs 2,82,700, two cellphones, a watch and a silver ring at knifepoint.
The Udyambag police cracked the case and have recovered 1.32 lakhs and an Indica car used for the said crime.
