A 20 day Caste-based socio-economic and educational census from would begin from April 11. Families and individuals are required to provide correct information to enumerators to get realistic information to identify the social, educational and economic conditions of the people and their numerical strength in the State.
The survey, which will be taken up by the Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes. As many as 10 lakh families in 8,232 blocks in ten taluks are expected to be covered in the survey.
